Ingredients

Dry Ingredients
  • 420 g all-purpose flour The foundation of our buns, providing a light and chewy crumb.
  • 1 pack baking powder (11g) Creates the necessary lift and fluffiness in your buns.
  • 1 teaspoon salt Enhances flavors and balances the sweetness of other components.
Wet Ingredients
  • 250 ml warm water Activates the ingredients while ensuring a moist and tender loaf.
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil Adds richness and depth of flavor to the dough.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt. Use a whisk to blend them together.
  2. Pour in the warm water and add the olive oil. Stir gently until a cohesive dough begins to form.
  3. If the dough feels too sticky, incorporate a touch more flour until it reaches a soft, manageable consistency.
  4. Divide the dough into 8 equal pieces, roll each into a ball, and flatten slightly to create small rounded buns.
Cooking
  1. In a non-stick skillet heated over medium-low, cook each flat bun for approximately 4 minutes on each side, or until golden brown.
  2. Transfer the cooked buns to a plate lined with a clean kitchen towel to keep them warm.

Notes

For extra flavor, incorporate herbs or spices into the dough. Let your dough rest for a few minutes before dividing for added softness. Preheat your skillet to ensure even cooking and avoid overcrowding.
