Method
Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Make two slits cut into the top of each Hawaiian roll without slicing all the way through.
- Place the rolls into a buttered 9x13 inch baking dish.
Stuffing
- Stuff the slits in each roll generously with shredded mozzarella cheese.
Butter Mixture
- In a small bowl, combine softened butter, chopped parsley, and minced garlic. Whisk together until evenly mixed.
Topping
- Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cheese-stuffed rolls.
Baking
- Bake in the preheated oven for about 9-11 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the rolls are golden brown.
Serving
- Let the rolls cool for a couple of minutes, then serve warm.
Notes
Using fresh garlic enhances the flavor significantly. Allow the rolls to sit briefly after baking for the cheese to set. For an extra kick, sprinkle red pepper flakes before baking. To store leftovers, place in an airtight container for up to three days, or freeze for up to a month.
