Method

Prepare the Pie Crust

  2. Carefully transfer the rolled dough into a 9-inch pie dish, smoothing it out without tearing.
Make the Filling

  2. Combine well and set the bowl in the refrigerator while preparing the crumble topping.
Preheat the Oven

Assemble the Pie
  1. Spoon the chilled blueberry filling directly into the prepared crust, leaving any juices behind.
  2. Flute or crimp the edges of the pie crust and refrigerate while making the crumble.
Create the Crumble Topping
  1. In a medium bowl, mix together brown sugar, remaining flour, and cinnamon.
  2. Cut in the cold butter until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs, then add rolled oats and stir to combine.
Bake the Pie
  1. Pour the crumble mixture over the blueberry filling.
  2. Bake on a large baking sheet for 25 minutes.
  3. Reduce oven temperature to 375°F (190°C) and continue baking for an additional 30-35 minutes, shielding edges if necessary.
Cool and Serve
  1. Allow the pie to cool for three hours at room temperature before serving.
  2. Cut into generous slices and enjoy!

Notes

Use high-quality blueberries for the best flavor. Consider adding a pinch of nutmeg to the crumble or mixing in other fruits for variation.
