Ingredients

Main Ingredients
  • 3 cans sliced pineapples (in water) or 2 fresh pineapples (20 oz./560 g) Juicy and vibrant; the star of the recipe.
  • 10 tablespoons sugar More or less to taste; enhances the fruity flavor.
  • ½ tablespoon cloves Optional; adds aromatic warmth.

Method

Prepare Your Pineapple
  1. If using canned pineapples, drain and squeeze out excess water. For fresh pineapples, slice the skin, cut the flesh, and blend until mushy.
Mix & Cook
  1. Transfer the blended pineapple to a non-stick deep pan, then add sugar and cloves, stirring to combine.
  2. Cook over medium to low heat, stirring frequently, until the mixture turns a golden color.
Final Touches
  1. Taste the jam after 15-20 minutes; add more sugar if needed. Remove cloves and let cool.
  2. Transfer to the fridge to help it set.

Notes

Adjust the sweetness to your liking and experiment with spices like cinnamon or nutmeg for alternate flavors. Aim for a spreadable but chunky texture.
