Ingredients

For the chicken
  • 1 Tablespoon olive oil A silky oil that enhances the flavor and helps crisp up the chicken.
  • 2 pieces chicken breasts (boneless and skinless) The centerpiece of the dish, these breasts are incredibly juicy when cooked right.
Spices
  • 1/2 teaspoon kosher salt Enhances all the flavors, making the chicken truly irresistible.
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano Adds a fragrant, earthy note that complements the chicken beautifully.
  • 1/2 teaspoon paprika Infuses a subtle smokiness and a warm, inviting color.
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper Provides a gentle heat and aromatic quality.
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder Imparts a savory depth that’s essential in any great chicken dish.

Method

Preparation
  1. In a small bowl, combine the kosher salt, oregano, paprika, black pepper, garlic powder, and olive oil. Mix until you create a smooth paste.
  2. Take the two boneless, skinless chicken breasts and thoroughly coat them with the spice paste, ensuring that every part is generously covered.
Cooking
  1. Preheat the air fryer to 370-degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Once hot, place the coated chicken breasts carefully in the air fryer basket. Cook for 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 minutes, carefully flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 4-8 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160-degrees Fahrenheit.
Serving
  1. Once cooked, tent the chicken with tin foil and let it rest for about 5 minutes before serving.

Notes

Marinate the chicken in the spice paste for a few hours or overnight for deeper flavors. Allowing the chicken to rest helps maintain its juiciness. Use a meat thermometer to check doneness, aiming for an internal temperature of 160-degrees Fahrenheit.
